Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 2:12AM Tweet Katie & Joe are awesome. You know when you meet with someone and your personalities just click? That is how casey and I feel about K&J. On our first meeting we sat there for over 2 hours and it didn't feel like a meeting but rather I felt like I was just hanging with friends...and talking about wedding stuff of course. We were excited to be doing their wedding because not only were we doing photo, but video and a SDE. We were really happy with the results and the consistency between the photos and video.
Some things I remember about the day:
**Katie's mother wearing the mother of the bride black outfit...wow did she look amazing!!
**Katie's dad running around with his videocamera to catch special moments
**One of the sweetest things they did was wait until the ceremony to kiss on the wedding day. So even though they saw each other beforehand, they held back on the kisses and it made for great photos before the wedding and an awesome kiss during the ceremony.
**the bridal party singing a special song about Katie & Joe about their relationship...oh and dare I forget the dances...wow...!!
**toasts...there were props...need I say more?
**Katie's dad and Joes mom give each other a big hug at the end of the day before they saw their children off to married life.
*There were many tears, smiles and laughs shared throughout the day.

Love the new blog...seriously, I do, but that flare shot of their faces.....I wasn't even there, don't know the couple, and it brought a tear to my eye. I can just see the love they have for each other in that shot...Breathtaking to say the least!

Great new site! I'm liking the new watermark, too. Did you create the video with the Canon 5DMII? I want to do that for my next wedding, too!
MsBunn.com-- I shot many of the photos with the 5DM2. I new that the location was going to be very dark and I needed the extra ISO. Casey, Nathan & Clyde shot the video with some Sony EX1s and some HVXs among other things. You should play around with the settings on the 5DM2 before you try video at a wedding. It has some tricky settings to hold exposure ect.

Looooove the bridal party shot. So classy. Great candid series too.
These photos are just beautiful. My two favorites are the couple with the bride seated and the wind blowing her veil, and the photo of the wedding party in front of the trees - very beautiful.
